Making Solid Steel Homes All Around

Steel Homes

One of the latest crazes is steel homes or incorporating steel into your existing house. What I’m talking about here is Sheet Metal, Shipping Container Homes and Corten Steel. If you’re unfamiliar what I’m talking about and want to learn how to improve your house or you’re planning on building a new house, read on because this is for you!

We’re talking about why building steel houses is beneficial to you, what kind of steel to use for long lasting durability, and tough high-performance paint coatings that work with steel, wood, concrete and brick. These coatings were developed by PHD Chemists and have become the recommended choice for most government applications.

Fixing problems with steel homes

Every house eventually has maintenance issues, sometimes bigger problems like a collapsing/shifting basement, mold in their home, flooding or water problems such as bursting pipes, termites and much more. The key is to prevent these problems as soon as you can. Wood is great when it is dry, mold and termite free, but with a proper coating you can prevent a problem from happening. A proper coating will also strengthen the wood for a more self sustaining house to ensure you have a more stabile structure.

Different areas of the country present different problems, steel homes can help with this. For instance, a few examples are in Arizona people say “It is not if you are going to get termites, it is when you are going to get termites”. In Oklahoma they are in the middle of tornado alley and obviously in Florida they have hurricanes.
